Did
you know that Wood-Land-Lakes RC&D maintains a library of DVD’s &
CD-ROM’s? Anyone can request their own copy of these resources and
with a $5 donation (per address) to cover postage, we will mail the
DVD’s & CD’s (we can get quite a few disks into a padded envelope for
that $5). Or an individual can stop in our Angola office to pick
up their FREE resources and save the shipping cost.
Our current DVD & CD resource topics include: forestry, water,
energy, RC&D, land, community development, and agritourism. These
DVD’s & CD’s have been produced by a variety of groups who are not as
concerned with making a profit and are interested in informing,
updating, or enlightening people about a particular area of interest.
Consequently, this allows us to duplicate and distribute these wonderful
educational tools for the shipping costs alone. We have been
amazed at the number of requests we have received, as well as where we
have been shipping them - Indiana, Georgia, Florida, Texas, and New
York. One request was from a high school FFA teacher - think about
the potential in that shipment alone!
Want to Help? We are always adding new and interesting
educational items to our library. If you have something you think
would be of interest to people and it isn’t copyright protected (and/or
we have permission to copy it), please feel free to forward it to us to
add to the collection. We have the ability to convert VHS to DVD
as well as copy DVD’s & CD’s (within the limits of the law). We
can even help you get your own library started.
To get as much “bang for the buck” (or in this case $5) we:
- combine several videos of similar subjects onto one 4-hour DVD
and
- gladly accept supply donations:
